SEO-CMS Features Added To Synapse

5/15/2006 - iData Technologies, the developer of the Synapse Publisher™ content management system, announced today the launch of Synapse Search™, an application with support for a rich set of Search Engine Optimization (SEO-CMS) features which allow non-technical users to create content optimized to be found and ranked well by Internet Search Engines.

Most traditional CMS packages create content which is essentially invisible to search engines because the engines see it as dynamically created and avoid it. Older CMS packages also fail to create title and other HTML meta tags that search engines use to help classify and rank content. Previous versions of Synapse Publisher™ allowed users to specify "friendly" or keyword-rich, relevant, human-readable URLs for site pages, and in this way already supported more search optimization functionality than all but a few CMS packages.

With the release of Synapse Search™, iData takes the lead in SEO-CMS functionality by offering tools designed to allow content authors (who are typically not knowledgeable about SEO) to create optimized content which will perform well in search engines on the selected keywords. Synapse accomplishes this by providing a user-friendly "SEO dashboard" to guide users through creating optimized content with appropriate characteristics such as keyword density, image ALT tags, URL text etc.
