LIHEAP Data Reliability Assessment Tools Go Live on HHS Website

Washington DC: A set of new data reliability assessment tools developed by iData Technologies and Apprise Inc. went live this week on the LIHEAP Performance Management Web site (https://liheappm.acf.hhs.gov/).  The tools offer LIHEAP grantees five new Web-based assessments designed to help them determine the reliability of the main heating fuel expenditure data that they report to the US Department of Health and Human Service(HHS) annually as part of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

To develop the assessments, iData provided Web and database development services, and Apprise provided program expertise and overall project management. The assessments leverage a variety of data ranging from U.S. Energy Information Administration’s State Energy Data System (SEDS) to previously reported LIHEAP performance Measures data.  They allow grantees to evaluate their data requirements, the effectiveness of their data collection efforts, the quality and completeness of utility and fuel vendor responses to grantee data requests and the effectiveness of grantee quality control processes for data collections and reporting.
